I just got back from an intensive and fun 3 day course in Brussels that I will tell you more about later on. Today it is the 9 of May - Europe day - and I am preparing some fun and informative activities here in Ulricehamn. 100 people from Ulricehamn used 100 cameras and took more then 2000 pictures about their Ulricehamn. The theme of the day is "Ulricehamn in Europe" and I think that by looking at our own surroundings we can relate better to what is further away from us. What makes Ulricehamn a European city? What makes us unique? I spend several hours yeasterday (until late in the evening) putting together a small exhibition from the 2000 pictures. It is interesting to see that younger people often take pictures of other people while older people take pictures of buildings and places or the nature. Why is that and how much does our surroundings influence our well being? I think it is very important for our well being to live in an attractive, safe and stimulating place.
Now I have to get going with the preparations for today.
